Des is a nature and wildlife photographer based
in the East Midlands. Although much of his work is of British
species, his portfolio also includes work from other parts of the
world - from the humid rainforest in Borneo to the arid desert of
Arizona. Apart from regional
competitions, Des’ most recent success was being highly commended
in the British Wildlife Photography Awards in 2010. This year, he
is a finalist in the Veolia Environment (formerly BBC) Wildlife
Photographer of the Year competition, as well as a semi-finalist
in the European Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. He
is also once again short-listed in the British Wildlife
Photography Awards. All the competitions are still on-going.
Des’ work can be seen in various publications
and commercial use. His fine art prints are also available though
galleries, art fairs, and online exclusive from his website:
www.desong.co.uk He regularly conducts workshops for
photographers of all levels. He also gives presentations to
natural history and photographic groups nationally. |
