Pool Kayaking Taster Sessions

Kayaking taster sessions are on offer at Town Close Pool, Newmarket Road, Norwich during May half term.
The sessions are aimed at giving young people, between the age of 8 to 15
years, the opportunity to try this unique sport in the warmth and security of a
swimming pool environment. All equipment will be provided and the kayaking
sessions are run by our qualified instructor(s).
Junior Kayak Taster Session (pool based) £15.00
A fun 1½ hour session for those who are new (or relatively new) to kayaking. Led
by one of our professional BCU instructors the children will learn about
equipment, discover new skills ranging from paddling skills, capsize drill,
rescue techniques, support strokes to eskimo rolling and water confidence all in
a safe controlled environment.
Tuesday 31st May 2.30pm – 4.00pm 4.15pm – 5.45pm
Wednesday 1st June 10.00am –11.30am 11.30am –1.00pm
Family (Adult) Kayak Taster Session (pool based)
£15.00 child, £18.00
adult, £60.00 (up to 2 adults/3 children)
An evening taster session (1½ hours) of kayaking, aimed at families, complete
novices or someone who has tried it out a few times, say on holiday, or sometime
in the distant past! Leam together as a family, whilst developing some basic
skills, so that you can be confident out on the water.
Tuesday 31st May 6.00pm – 7.30pm
Sessions are part of the Activ-8 Training programme. Beginner river based
